If someone is researching Japanese art methods, this would also be a wonderful starting point. Excellent book. As one who has taken 5 workshops from the author, she has, in this book, captured a tremendous amount of info and history with the addition of good pix. A must have for a moku hanga artist. Buy it!

I am very happy to have this book. I am just beginning a nontraditional wood block printing project and was looking for a good source of basic processes that might be of use as I plan for my work. This was perfect, clear and detailed information about materials and process, and a guide to many additional resources for information and sources for printing materials.
