This book was required for the LPN to BSN online program at Indiana State University. The book was a little bit difficult to understand. This was the 1st class in the curriculum, so it is an important class to set the basic foundations of what is to come in the remainder of the program. Unfortunately, the book chosen was not as helpful as I hope it to be. The class itself was great and I learned a lot, but the book was quite a challenge to understand. There's only 2 Nclex questions per chapter for practice! That's it! I think this book could've been written a little better for students to understand and enjoy. Sometimes, I'd have to read the same paragraph over to understand what the author is trying to convey. Unfortunately, there's not that many LPN to RN Transitions books on the market. There's this book (by Lippincott) and there's the competitor (by Elsevier).
I'm not too sure the overall value of this book to my nursing degree but there are certain sections that are amazing and super helpful. I had to rush this book to my home and it came before it said it would and in PERFECT like-new condition. Thank you for the good buy, there are SO many nursing books we need to buy and it's hard to keep up with costs, especially when I know I won't use this book past graduation so the discount really helps out. Thanks!!!
This book did not help me at all. It is a waste of money. Too many useless words. Only a few things are good but not in depth enough...such as the concept care..
This book reviews some key concepts from LPN school quite well, so reading it has been a good refresher. However, most of the book seems like the author was just looking for enough information to make it into a textbook.This book should have been a pamphlet of 100 pages or less. Instead it is much longer and contains lots of unnecessary information.
